Level 6: Production: Interactive-Game Credits Update

Forgot to mention that I have edited the end credits for the game. Then I put it back in after effects as it is a photoshop file and I don't know how to work after effects. But yep nothing big. I also saved a copy of the credits with music from our game.

Level 6: Production: Interactive-Game screens UPDATE

Forgot to post these yesterday because I accidentally left my files on my school computer but anyways I have have gotten some feedback from Oscar and I have updated the game screens.

Here I found out that we actually decided to stick with the characters that didn't have the grey shadow over their faces so I grabbed the the other pair and chucked them in there.

Then I chucked the bars out and made the smaller text the same font as the larger on to keep everything more simple and neat.

I then threw out the planets and used and updated version of our background and then centered everyhting.

For this the text was pushed to the side and coloured white instead of black.

Also changed the clouds around and threw out the planets because since the main character starts by the clouds it was pretty random to have space in the background.

So again I used the updated version of the background and used the sky/earth area.

For this the background just turned a solid black, text changed and turned white and the characters were moved.

The same thing happened for this screen-text font and colour change. Everything centered.

New space background.

And new planets from Oscar.

Level 6: Production: Interactive- Game screens

Last night I made a start screen, a pause screen, a game over screen and a game complete screen for our team game. I first started off with the game complete screen for some reason.
I started off with a fill gradient and used similar colours to our space background.
Then I drew on lots of stars.

I used the aliens and cows font to make the title

Made some rectangles for the score and name bars.

I chose a different font for theses texts so it wouldn't clash with the title font

I gabbed the turnaround of our main characters to put into the screen

Crop

Magic wand tool

And drag and drop. I also added the planets from out background to make it look nicer. I added our second character since the player has won their way back to their other half.

I didn't really know what to design for the game over screen so i decided on a black to grey gradient since the character is dead so why not?

I used the magic eraser tool to cut out all the colour on the characters to create a white silhouette. Is it too basic?

When i made the paused screen it actually started off with the start menu but i accidentally deleted it but anyways I slightly changed the gradient colours so it wants the same as the game completed screen, making it lighter and adding more light blue to the bottom. I added the name of our game and also and extra box for the settings bar.

After that was done I redid the start menu by moving the boxes, changing the text and putting out main character back in there.

Then i added some planets from our background and Gabby's blog and also added some clouds since the game starts near the clouds.

Waiting on feedback from my team mates, if they want me to change anything or scrap one of the screens and make a new one I'm totally cool with it.

Level 6: Production: Interactive Game Credits Update

This morning I have completed the opening and closing credits for the game. I had to readjust the speed and length of it so it wasn't too fast but slow enough for the viewer to read it. I followed a tutorial on youtube to help me finish this because I don't know much about After Effects. I also spaced out the text so it wouldn't loom so close together.

Level 6: Production: Interactive -Game Opening

Forgot to post these yesterday but I've been working in Adobe After Effects on the opening credits for the group game. The final decision was to use the Aliens and cows font for our text. Oscar has been helping me getting used to the tools. Its a bit tricky but my other team members also offered to help. I feel like I have finished the opening sequence and now I want to finish the closing sequence today.

Level 6: Production: Interactive - Game Update

Back from the meeting and now just waiting to hear feedback from my fellow teams member's on the fonts and sounds that I've dropped into the team google drive. If there is any other sound they think will work well for the game then I will take another look through freesound.org
