Mood Board for Ghost Lady

Here are some examples that I thought could work well for our ghost bride.

The first character that I thought we could get some inspiration from was the earth spirit lady from Fantasia/2000 (1999), I feel like Taylor's ghost lady would be described as a gentle, pretty and cute character, so I thought the earth spirit was a good example for this.

As you can see her movements are gentle and uplifting as she floats delicately through the air.

The next character I thought could be useful is Eris from Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2003). 

 In this image Eris moves very fast and this makes her look menacing (not the best example lol but she still looks cool).

     



Because she is an underwater enchantress....creature......thing......its been a very long time since I've last seen that film...Anyway her hair floats around her as if she is still in the ocean, which I think makes her look even more beautiful and adds a bit of grace to the way she moves.

Like the earth spirit, her body trails after her as she floats through the air, however Eris' lower part of her body is made up of smoke, I find this more fitting for our character.

The last character I thought was cool is Princess Yue, Moon Spirit from Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005-2008). Her design is very beautiful and I like the yellow glow, I think that would be fitting to the ghost bride, however, I know that others in the group have different ideas for her colour pallet and thats totally fine, just throwing ideas out there. 

Thats all I have right now, any feedback or suggestions is much appreciated.

EXT: GIRLFRIEND'S BEDROOM. SUNNY SATURDAY AFTERNOON

PANS DOWN FROM WINDOW TO BEDROOM DOOR.

MID SHOT: BOYFRIEND ENTERS THE ROOM LOOKING AROUND. HE WALKS TO THE DRAW UNIT AND FINDS THE KEYS.

CLOSE UP: PANS FROM BOYFRIEND'S HAND TO HIS CONFUSED FACE.

CLOSE UP: A BOOK LIES ALSO LIES ON THE DRAW UNIT. THE FRONT COVER SHOWS TWO ANIMATED MALES EMBRACING EACH OTHER LOVINGLY. THE TITLE OF THE BOOK READS:

"My Strange Roommate"

MID SHOT: BOYFRIEND'S EXPRESSION BECOMES MORE CONFUSED. HE LOOKS BEHIND HIM AND THEN BACK TO THE BOOK WITH A NOW CURIOUS LOOK. HE DOESN'T WANT TO GET CAUGHT SNOOPING THROUGH HIS GIRLFRIEND'S STUFF.

CLOSE UP: BOYFRIEND'S HANDS HESITANTLY REACHES FORWARD AND SLOWLY PEELS THE BOOK OPEN.

MID SHOT: BOYFRIEND OPENS THE BOOK BUT SUDDENLY GETS SUCKED IN.

EXTREME CLOSE UP: ON BOYFRIEND'S CLOSED EYES. HE SNAPS THEM OPEN AND LOOKS AROUND.

EXT: 2D LOUNGE APARTMENT.

MID SHOT: BOYFRIEND LOOKS AROUND THE AREA. SURPRISED AND SLIGHTLY FRIGHTENED. HE PATS HIMSELF AND IS RELIEVED THAT NOTHING SEEMS TO BE WRONG WITH HIM. A DEEP CHUCKLE MAKES HIM SHARPLY LOOK UP WITH SURPRISE. AN ANIMATED EXCLAMATION POINT APPEARS AT THE TOP OF HIS HEAD.

LONG SHOT: A HANDSOME 2D MAN SITS CASUALLY ON A LONG COUCH WITH HIS LEGS CROSSED. HE SMIRKS AT SEEING THE BOYFRIEND'S SURPRISED FACE. 

OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT: WE SEE THE 2D MANS' SILHOUETTE RISE FROM THE COUCH AND THE BOYFRIEND'S FACE GETS QUITE NERVOUS, ANIMATED SWEAT STARTS JUMPING OFF HIM AS THE 2D MAN SAUNTERS TOWARDS HIM.

OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT: BOYFRIEND BACKS AWAY BUT HIS BACK HITS THE WALL BEHIND HIM. 2D MAN LEANS CLOSE WHILE HE RESTS HIS HAND AGAINST THE WALL RIGHT BESIDE HE BOYFRIEND'S HEAD. THE 2D MAN CHUCKLES INTO THE BOYFRIEND'S EAR, THE BOYFRIEND STARTS PANICKING AND TRIES TO PUSH THE MAN AWAY, A GIANT SWEAT DROP APPEARS ON THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD, HOWEVER HIS WRISTS ARE CAPTURED BY THE 2D MAN. HE PULLS THE BOYFRIEND TOWARDS HIM AND THEY LOCK LIPS.

OVER THE SHOULDER MID SHOT: BOYFRIEND TEARS AWAY FROM THE 2D MAN, HE SCREAMS DRAMATICALLY WHILE RUNNING TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROOM, HS ARMS FLYING AROUND. 

MID SHOT: BOYFRIEND TRIES TO OPEN A RANDOM DOOR BUT IT IS LOCKED. HE LOOKS BACK TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROOM AT THE 2D MAN.

MID SHOT: 2D MAN LOOKS BACK AT HIM CONFUSED.

MID SHOT: BOYFRIEND TURNS BACK TOT THE DOOR WHILE SCREAMING DRAMATICALLY AGAIN. HE STARTS TO POUND ON THE DOOR DESPERATELY AND SUDDENLY FALLS FORWARD.

EXT: GIRLFRIEND'S ROOM

LONG SHOT: BOYFRIEND LAYS, SPRAWLED ON THE GROUND. HE LOOKS AROUND AND LETS OUT A RELIEVED SIGH AS HE REALISES HES BACK.

MID SHOT: HIS HEAD SNAPS TO THE GROUND.

CLOSE UP: THE BOOK LAYS ON THE GROUND BESIDE HIM. THE 2D MAN HE MET IS NOW ALONE ON THE BOOK COVER, WINKING.

MID SHOT: BOYFRIEND'S FACE TURNS ANGRY.

INT: FRONT OF HOUSE

LONG SHOT: BOOK IS SEEN BEING THROWN OUT THE BEDROOM WINDOW

Script Rough Idea

• Set in present day
• scene starts in wife/girlfriend's room

• Husband walks into wife/girlfriend's room, looking for keys or something

While searching the room he stumbles upon a yaoi manga - (also known as Boys' Love (BL), a Japanese genre of fictional media focusing on romantic relationships between male characters, typically aimed at a female audience)

• His first reaction is wtf? but hes curious (lol) so he takes a look anyway but suddenly gets sucked in

  NOTHING EXPLICIT IS GOING TO HAPPEN!!! RELAX!!!

Anyway that's all I have so far.

Problems

• Don't have a middle or end yet
• Why is only the brother sucked into the manga?
• Why does wife/girlfriend have a magical BL manga?
• How does the experience affect the boyfriend/husband?
