Level 6: Production: Interactive - Game Update

I've looked through this website, Oscar suggested for me called Dafont (lol). We wanted a simple font for the game and I've already found quite a few. I personally liked the fonts that were tall

Really like this one ^^

However Oscar liked this big round font ^^ and explained that the O's could be replaced with planets which i thought was a pretty cool idea. Also had the idea that the font could slowly fade when the game starts and the O will fade into the totem that shows at the start of the game which I also thought would be pretty neat.
I also really liked this font which is called "Tall Dark And Handsome" but that can be used next time. XD

Level 6: Production: Interactive Sound Update

Today I have been browsing through some sounds for my group game project. Oscar, had taken a look through the sounds I have saved and he likes two songs that will work well for the game's theme music. I think it works well too, I will also get my other team members to take a listen as well.
We had a group meeting and no I'm tasked with doing the opening and closing title sequence. I've already found a few fonts that I like and Grace offered to help me with this task as well which is awesome.

Level 6: Production: Interactive -Group game- Sound

Because I did quite a bit with the background, my new task is to find royalty free sounds for my group's game, background sound, music, sound effects etc. I had a look through some websites but most of them were not exactly free however, Oscar showed me a website that has tons of sound effects and other music. I have already saved some sound effects that I think would work for the game but I will show my team members and get some feedback.

Level 6: Production; Interactive- Game Group Layout

So I got tasked with designing my teams layout for our game. It was supposed to be simple but i thought I had to make the background and make it really detailed so.......whoops...technically this wasn't a bad thing cause I did more work XD.

Anyways just posting a bunch of screenshots.

Started with the background colours to show that it starts with the sky and its slowly making its way up to space.

I then I put the a sun at the bottom. Kinda hard to tell but I put a glow around the sun cause without it it looked like an egg XD. Then I added a bunch of clouds as the platforms for our character to jump on and make their way to the top.

I tried to show how it gets darker and scarier around the middle so it gets more challenging for the player to reach the top. So I added some darker clouds with some lightening bolts to zap the player.

Then I added more clouds that were slightly darker so the background didn't look so flat. It was kinda difficult to make the gradient for the background cause it wasn't turning out as smooth as I wanted it but i tried.

However my team member Oscar, showed me how to create the gradient effect. It looked a lot smoother and I just adjusted the colours to my liking.

Damn its really really hard to see but I drew lots of stars. Yes I could have just copied and pasted the stars but who cares.

Here's the yin and yang that the player has to reach right at the top. I added a glow around it to make it look cooler.

And here are the assets for the player to collect. I gabbed these off, Zack. The red asset is a boost jump and the green asset is the soul collector.

Lastly I added some planets. I put some weird patterns on them to make it look more appealing and fun.

Level 6: Production: Interactive - Update Asteroid in Maya

This is the new asteroid for my group project. I didn't properly put my unity files into my Google drive so I had to quickly whip up another one. Oscar then helped by showing how to add colour, and adjusting the object so it looked more bumpy and rocky.

The first step was to create the object. It's been a long time since I've used Maya but it was hilarious trying to figure out what to do.

Not sure if this was the best screenshot but I'm just showing how bumpy it started to look with some adjusting.

Then added some square looking things for the crate things.

Then some colour was added. I'm happy with how it came out.

Special thank you to Oscar.

Level 6: Production: Interactive - Asteroid update

So I've tried looking up tutorials for my asteroid cause I don't know if I should add something more to it cause I don't if its too simple. I've looked at tutorials on how to make it float around but a lot them involve coding and I have no idea how to do that.......I'll look at some more but I'm gonna try get some feedback from my group and see what they think.

Level 6: Production: Interactive ........am I finished yet?

Ok so I couldn't work on unity at all today cause uuuugh problems *bleh* but think I'm done and now I have to meet up with my team....

I was following the tutorials and in my first unity file (before it crashed) I didnt have a 'blinking' animation but i decided to add one (don't know why i called it blinking cause its glowing.....) but I added it anyways...... im tired...
